Friday 12th November 7:15pm
The Band are looking forward to performing once again at the prestigious Huddersfield Town Hall featuring soloists from within the Band and Pipe Major Andrew Paton. Music includes the ever popular “Amazing Grace” on pipes, with Musician James Hopkins on solo Alto Sax and the voice of Musician Chloe Barker. Musician Jasmine Evans will perform John Williams “Victor’s Tale” from the film “The Terminal” and there will be a new arrangement from the pen of Captain Gary highlighting two of our French Horn players, Musicians Michael Arnold and Ben Percival playing the exciting virtuosic Latin showpiece “Tico Tico”. The Band are also paying tribute to Ennio Morricone who wrote over 500 scores for Cinema. We have chosen a few to highlight this year with Musician Laura Skyers playing the enchanting “La Califfa”, the Band will perform the love theme from “Cinema Paradiso” and finish with a selection of tunes from some of his best known Westerns, such as “Once Upon a Time in the West” and “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”. Padre Ben Norton pays tribute to our Armed Forces, and we will take the opportunity to thank our NHS with Musician Chloe Barker singing “Over the Rainbow”, in what promises to be a fantastic return to music making.
