A WHOLE FESTIVAL FULL OF IN-PERSON EVENTS

What a refreshing change it makes to say that we have a whole weekend jammed with live and very much in-person events just around the corner – The Lakes International Comic Art Festival, featuring oh-so-many Myriad graphic novelists…

BATTLE OF THE TOONS
15 October • 7pm

Kicking the weekend off to an explosive start, Kate Charlesworth (Sensible Footwear) – and her alter ego Auntie Studs – will be joining the legendary Battle of the Toons. At the end of the night, only one of the eight comic guests will survive, and that depends on how well they make their case to you, the audience.

They will be talking about how graphic novels can have a very real impact on the world, as well as discussing their latest works – both of which have a focus on repressive regimes.
