We can't wait to see you all (from a safe distance)
in Dewsbury this weekend for Our Place.
Over the last year, our young people have spent a
lot of time in their homes, daydreaming about visiting their
grandparents, playing games at their friends’ house, exploring new
worlds at the local library, discovering local history at the
museums and going away on holiday.
Drawing on this theme, we've worked with
schoolchildren from Whitcliffe Mount, Field Lane, and Pentlands to
create clay and cardboard models of a place they love.

The miniature town of houses, museums,
libraries, and other Yorkshire landmarks - and pieces of
creative writing - will be on display in the window of 44
Daisy Hill in Dewsbury town centre from Friday 18 to Sunday 20
June.
And if you pop down to see Our Place on
Saturday, we'll be joined in Dewsbury by Urban Canvas, who
will be running some hands-on - and Covid-safe - chalk art
workshops in Market Place.
