Bradford
Sketchbook Library
Would
you like to be part of the Bradford Sketchbook Library?
The Intercultured Festival and Bradford libraries are excited to launch
the Bradford Sketchbook Library project. We want to celebrate the
creative arts by inviting people to fill a sketchbook, either your own or
one provided by us, and bring the completed sketchbook to your nearest
library where they will eventually be on display in selected libraries
and will end up as part of a permanent collection in City Library.
The sketchbooks can be populated with any media - sketches, poems,
memoirs, paintings, collage, drawings and more. The completed sketchbooks
will be a creative resource and tool within the community and the
creative sector of Bradford.
Open to all ages.
The filled sketchbooks should be handed in to your nearest library by
closing date 1st September.
If you would like a sketchbook please email; Library.Events@bradford.gov.uk
stating whether you would like an A5 or A4 book and which library you
would like to pick up your sketchbook from. We have a limited number of
sketchbooks and ask that you don’t request a sketchbook if you are not
intending to take part in this project.
The sketchbooks will be on display as part of a special
launch in City Library on National Poetry Day in October.
Please look out for some special drawing, poetry and collage workshops
taking place outside during the Summer to compliment this project.
