Get busy this weekend with recipes from
Paul Hollywood and Polpo…
|
|
|
|
Another week
down guys – well done! We hope it’s been kind to you. Why not toast the
weekend and a break from Microsoft Teams with a cheeky cocktail (we know
we could use one!). We’ve got just the recipe for you from the classic
cookbook, POLPO, to remind you of the days when we used to drink our
sundowners out of our slippers…
For those that are feeling particularly industrious we’re also sharing
Paul Hollywood’s traditional Bloomer recipe. We’ll be having ours for
Sunday brunch with or without an egg! Top tip: pounding a ball of dough
can be a great de-stresser….
Happy Weekend everyone!

What's
up New York,
We're still here,
wishing you a safe quarantine period full of discovery and peace.
This Friday's
weather is looking wet and chilly.🌧
Learn how to
support your favorite art sanctuaries and the art
funds on the rise right now. 💵🎨
Being stuck inside
while so much uncertainty persists can have adverse effects on your emotional
and mental health. For those suffering, use the information,
tips, and services provided by the city. ☮😊
If you're feeling
under the weather and as though you may have coronavirus symptoms make a testing
appointment at one of these locations.💊📍

Art As Eternal
Most believe art
to be indispensable and needed even more during times of crisis. As we weigh
real-world concerns, art remains a distraction and more strongly a form of
refreshing inspiration for individuals.
Now, as funding
for institutions like the MET sink, people are organizing to keep them
afloat. You can now donate to these art funds focused on providing economic
relief for cultural pillars such as the MET and beyond.

Dynamic Duo
We need trained
medical staff, beds and supplies. It is said that in conjunction these three
important aspects will save the lives of New Yorkers.
That is why we've
got a lot of love for Bryant Zabala and Jennifer Cubero, a married couple and
trained respirator specialists. As respirators become a key component to
patient survival, the importance of the staff who run them becomes clear as
well.
|
You're The Chef
If you've ever
baked anything, you know the process and the success of a finished product
fill you with a warmth you can't replicate. We've found you a simple no-knead
bread recipe that you can probably make at home with ingredients on hand.
Serve this bread
for breakfast with jam or butter. It would also be yummy alongside your soup
or salad later in the day. Either way, give it a try!

Dr.
Ian Kwok is the doctor on our radar today, doing his best although
he dropped in the center of the pandemic so soon into his residency. 🏥🔍
Try a new
cookbook and make do with the groceries you already have in your
pantry. 🍲🍜

Experiencing the Pandemic
Although education
prepared him for the procedures needed to save lives, nothing could've
prepared Dr. Ian Kwok for the coronavirus pandemic.
On the front
lines, Dr. Ian Kwok is a third-year medical resident in the center of the
Mount Sinai Beth Israel hospital, which has been transformed into triage for
COVID-19 patients. He discussed the moral strain which outweighs the long
hours in this one on one with the NY Post.
