Ilkley Literature Festival 2019

Lots More To Come at ILF19



After a fantastic opening weekend that began with Poet Laureate Simon Armitage reading work, including some of the Stanza Stones poems, and closed with Poet in Residence Colette Bryce reading her new poem, Which Side Are You On?, commissioned in response to W.B. Yeat's The Second Coming, we are looking forward to a busy week of festival events.

Here are some of the highlights coming up over the next few days:
Our Catherine: The Live of Catherine Cookson

In this new musical show, Gemma Irving re-explores the life and work of one of the north of England’s most popular and yet most overlooked writers, Dame Catherine Cookson.

Wendy Mitchell was diagnosed with Young Onset Dementia at the age of 58, Somebody I Used to Know is her groundbreaking memoir.
After her own father’s death from dementia, the writer and campaigner Nicci Gerrard set out to explore the illness.

Genevieve Carver & The Unsung: A Beautiful Way To Be Crazy
