Widescreen Weekend, National Science and Media Museum, Bradford

Full details have been announced for the Widescreen Weekend at the National Science and Media Museum:

FULL PROGRAMME ANNOUNCED

We are proud to announce the full festival programme for the 22nd edition of Widescreen Weekend. Featuring special guests, classic films, restorations and anniversary screenings - 2018 could be the best festival yet!
The festival opens with a 50th anniversary screening of Sergio Leone’s classic Spaghetti Western, Once Upon a Time in the West (1968). Showing from an archive 35mm print, it also launches a strand of Westerns selected by guest curator and cinema historian, Professor Sir Christopher Frayling.
Bringing the festival to a close will be another 50th anniversary screening: the film that made Barbra Streisand a star - Funny Girl (1968) - introduced by comedian and actress Maureen Younger. We're excited to be screening this new 4k restoration on our famous curved screen.
Passes are on sale now until 31 August. Tickets to individual screenings on sale from 3 September.
