Greetings New York,
With summer heating us up on the daily, it's so much easier to feel inspired to visit one of many new and trendy creameries in the city! Have you ever stopped to consider if the wacky and colorful ice cream concoctions you're dishing bucks out on are worth it? Read the debate here
Leftover pizza for breakfast has been a longtime guilty pleasure for many, but it doesn't have to be. The artful culinary wizards at Baz Bagels have created a treat part pizza and part bagel for those who don't want to color within the breakfast lines. Others unsure about its authenticity argue, the pizza bagel was born in Little Italy, but is it pizza😃🍕😲
R-e-s-p-e-c-t! The word found itself plastered across a wall at the Franklin subway stop in what appeared to be a homage to singer Aretha Franklin. See the photos  of the tribute for yourself 🌆🎤🚄
Sometimes, we all need some guts and glamour. In a rare occurrence the Met has melded such visions together! The exhibit features rich textures and vibrant fashions packed with historical religious flare. Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and The Catholic Imagination, supplies you with every ounce of fashionable medieval Catholicism you'll need this summer. ⚒💄💎
There are only a few moments in the New York work week when we are touched by serenity and calm. What if there were some spots you could visit that immediately encouraged relaxation, away from crowded streets and noisy subway station? We've got it all in a comforting guide to the tranquil spots in the city that can help you get away.  🏙☕🌷
Hope you enjoyed hearing from us, stay hydrated and cool! 🍻😁🌞

Creamy Illusion
Ice cream used to be a common treat. Some famous flavor like vanilla and chocolate were upgraded with add-ins and they became rocky road and chocolate chip.
Today, there are ice cream shops creating new flavors all the time. Adventurous eaters can grab a cheese flavored cone or a popcorn sundae in the city. Forget the old creativity of a simple cherry on top, rainbow sprinkles or chocolate dip! The question is, do you really need an ice cream topped with an entire slice of cheesecake?
Do we need to revisit ice cream simplicity? Take a stab at that question by observing the wacky trend and it’s financial cost to consumers. It might be a sugar fix you want to pass up on.
Labor Day Weekend Plans, Anyone?
Seriously, what better way to kiss Summer '18 goodbye than a daytime yacht party with NYC rock band Blac Rabbit and an open vodka and gin bar by Spring44, beer by our BK friends at Brooklyn Brewery, and complimentary red, white, and rosé wines from The Drop Wine?!
Heaven Meets Fashion
The Heavenly Bodies exhibit at the Met has been very popular since it went up in early May, and one visit will tell you why.
Throughout the entire hall in which it is displayed, crowds of people press together for an opportunity to take a photo. Garments and accessories directly inspired by the Catholic faith range from modest to gaudy.
Some are adorned with crowns and wings while others closely resemble a nun’s robes. Some dresses are even displayed high on pedestals as one enters the hall from the front entrance.
The exhibit itself comes with some controversy, but as the museum goer, you get to decide what the show means to you. Religious or not, the works are truly inspirational.
Pizza Debacle
Unlike tacos or roast beef, many people find pizza just as appetizing around breakfast as they did during dinner.
Pizza is a menu item that excites children and adults alike. The number of toppings you can add on a pizza create it adaptable quality, the many crusts and sauce options make it a favorite at parties. Pizza flavored treats get just as much attention from foodies, although it may not always be positive.
Do we really love pizza on a bagel as much as we do with it’s a pie fresh from the oven?
That’s a good question and for many, it may not be as easy to answer. Luckily, someone decided to take this question on and consider Baz Bagels creation, the pizza bagel.
Secret Admirer
The epitome of my success will be measured by how often people plaster my song lyrics up on walls.
We all hope that someday, someone would hang up the title of our nonexistent hit single across a public subway station. In this case, Aretha Franklin was very lucky. If you’re wondering where this happened and when, look no further. We have the details all rounded up for you. Oh, we also have pictures of the finished product! Is there a rule against vandalizing public property to remind society to value respect? I guess we’ll find out soon!

New York is one of the brightest, one of the loudest and one of the most publicized cities in the world. Long work hours and stores open 24 hours a day really highlight the busy atmosphere. If the city never sleeps, can it at least offer some relaxation?
We think it may be possible. Here are some of the quiet and cozy places you can find to escape all the excitement and chaos of the work week.
