There's less than a week to go before the Edinburgh Festival
Fringe kicks off and with a packed programme of events at the
National Museum of Scotland there is lots for you to see and do this
August.
With the return of Fringe favourites Gilded Balloon, daily site-specific
dance performances with Pop-Up Duets, three fun-filled Friday
nights at Museum After Hours and this summer's
major exhibition Rip It Up: The Story of Scottish Pop,
the museum will come to life during the festival.

Scotland’s National Airshow is back
this weekend. You’ve still got time to book for a fantastic day of
breathtaking aerial displays, including the sensational Red Arrows, RAF
Typhoon and many more.
On the ground you can meet the pilots and crews and explore one of
Europe’s best collections of aircraft. And don’t forget you can now
travel direct to Airshow from Edinburgh with East Coast Buses.

From the International Space Station to Edinburgh, Tim Peake’s Soyuz Spacecraft is at the
National Museum of Scotland for only nine more days. As the only
Scottish venue on the spacecraft’s UK tour, this is an unmissable
chance to explore space through the eyes of an astronaut and see the
capsule that brought Tim Peake back to Earth.
