Good morning Colleague,
In keeping with this year’s theme of ‘global versus local’, we’re delighted to announce that Hanna Otero, the new publisher at Lonely Planet Kids will be joining us to discuss the truly global list of titles she manages. These include The Dinosaur Atlas, The Incredible Cabinet of Wonders (a collaboration with 12 renowned museums from around the world) and How Animals Build. Hanna was hired with the task of growing the Lonely Planet Kids brand and will be sharing with us her stories of success.
Another exciting addition to our line-up, joining us with a session on the latest tech developments within children’s publishing, is Joanna Surman, digital director at HarperCollins. Joanna will be discussing StoryCastle, the recently launched voice-activated app which streams two audiobooks each day, both available for 24 hours. Considering audiobook sales have doubled in the past five years, this a must-hear session on new developments in the children’s book industry.
Don’t forget that our Super Early Bird discount ends on Friday 6th July.
Hanna, Joanna and I look forward to seeing you there!
Best wishes,
Charlotte Eyre
