Hey
You,

weekend with our guide, or
you can lounge around for a bit, grab a late night dance or treat yourself to
a longer than normal meal and really enjoy a moment. How does an art exhibit
sound? Check out "The
Master Series: Roz Chast" for free! 🎨👓😬
What do we need?
More thrills! Coney Island's crown jewel is muscling up to provide a real
punch for visitors. Luna
Park is getting a huge makeover, featuring a new rope course being built,
an elongated Log flume and a good old-fashioned arcade! ⛱👾🎡
Cannabis-infused

relaxation with a unique CBD infused coffee on the menu. Try a morning cup of
joe with a small zap of tranquility, learn more about the menu and how it
works! 😍👍☕️
Life moves fast
and we may miss the simple things that are of value. Tobias Wolff captures
the longing for simpler times in his short story,
"A Bullet In The Brain."It is a classic and edgy tale about one
man realizing what he's taken for granted and his shifting perspective.

Hang Out
Not
enough time in the week to hang out with friends?
Trying to fit all
the fun into the weekend?
Here are some ways
to make sure you have enough fun this weekend to make it through the week!

Calming Cafe
Leighton
Knowles has built himself a reputation of crafting CBD infused food. Now, his
sights have set on coffee. People normally reach for coffee during trying
times, making it a really great choice for hustling new yorkers. At this
coffee shop, the joe is laced with cannabis.
Read about where
you can find the titled, "Flower Power Coffee Shop," and when it's
doors will open to excited and curious eaters.
|
That New New
For
those that want to squeeze some thrills out of the last stretch of our summer
season without traveling too far, there's always Coney.
Coney Island's
success as a theme park, beach and tourist attraction is correlated to the
one of a kind experience it offers. With the resurrection of staple amusement
park, Luna Park, there's been more fun for everyone.
Now, they're
stepping it up a notch. Read all about the new attractions coming to our
favorite New York City beachside thrill park and when you can expect
them!
|
Fleeting Time
Although
it's easier to rush through our life focused on deadlines. In the micro time
of our daily lives, we could be missing out on the beauty of the little
things.
Tobias Wolff uses
literary skill to slow down a span of a few hours in his short story Bullet
In The Brain, and accentuates the many unappreciated life moments in one
man's life. It's a story of nostalgia, understanding and fleeting time. 🕔📚💭

Retrospective Cartoon Craft
A

Series: Roz Chast," it chronicles never before seen work from cartoonist
Roz Chast.
The extensive
experience showcases the same illustrative work that has brought joy to many
years of The New Yorker. This honorary exhibit at the School of Visual Art
promises to give an intimate look visitors.
Find out the times
you can get a look at hand drawn murals, embroideries, hook rugs and more.

Yes. You. Can.

Cutting-edge
technologies are making our lives easier than ever, and New Yorkers often get
to experience them first. The newest in line is a technology that makes it
easy to become a part of the green revolution, at HOME.
Despite being an
ultramodern New Yorker, you might feel like you aren’t able to actually make
a difference in the green department. Many people think that they have to own
a home with solar panels, or a hybrid car to feel like they’re actually
making a difference.

All Aboard!
Labor
Day may be quickly approaching but you still have enough time to get tickets
to our daytime East River booze cruise ‘All You Need Is Sun’ on Saturday, September
1st.
You only have one
chance to live your best life, so start now by claiming a ticket to create
memories that will last a lifetime. Who knows, maybe you’ll even show up in
Blac Rabbit’s next viral video.
How could you miss
that chance?!

Smoke Show
On
display at the young Fisher Parrish Gallery is a show fully absorbed in a
single item.
Over 80 artists
are on display, each with their artistic approach to the usually monotonous
ashtray. The gallery itself is a stark white, making each small ashtray pop
against its background.
Having so many
different artists on display, the varying definitions each has for an ashtray
is quite amazing. Some are fun and quirky; some are impractical while others
are flat out unusable.
Each object is a
small representation of who the artist is and what style they work in. Having
so many artists in one show forces each to only have a small amount of space,
yet each artist is able to stand out. The ashtrays range from geometric
shapes to recognizable objects to full sculptural figures.
