School's almost out,
so why not celebrate at Thursday Gin Night with any gin
from Seven's selection priced at £3.50. We've also a fantastic
range of bottled beers and Pimm's is a great choice in the summer heat.
There's some great entertainment coming up too.
Following two lengthy UK and European tours, Dancing Years return
to Seven, their favorite local venue, Thursday 16 & Friday 17
July, 8pm. Dancing Years has mastered the dynamic between
calming stillness and explosive euphoria, through the use of rich

On Saturday 18 July,
8.30pm, don't miss Mik Artistik’s Ego Trip,
an edgy, funny, poetic unit who play rock and roll stand up. Chaos ensues
onstage with Mik chucking straws , spouting random observations, and
following his train of thought into the audience. Jonny Flockton and
Benson Walker on guitar and bass dutifully try and rein him in, while
creating a joyous, funky, elegant, and rocky backdrop. £8 adv /£10 door.
Screen Seven completes its 2014-15 season with Pioneer on
Monday 20 July, 8pm.
This is a conspiracy thriller set in the early 80’s at the beginning of
the Norwegian Oil Boom when a pipeline is planned to bring the oil
ashore. A professional diver, Petter, obsessed with reaching the bottom
of the Norwegian Sea takes on this, the world’s most dangerous mission.
But a sudden, tragic accident changes everything. £6 /£4.50 conc. Look
forward to the Western Beyond the West mini
series in August. Screen seven returns in the autumn.
On Tuesday 21 July,
8pm, the Café Psychologique topic
is Modern Myths: the power of stories old and new, introduced by
Matthew Bellwood, storyteller and hosted by Chris Powell. Chat and think
over a drink. £4 on
the door.
On Thursday 23 July,
9pm, catch Leeds Morris Men dancing
outside Seven. Morris Dancing has had a continuous and evolving existence
in some parts of England for many centuries. Leeds Morris Men have been
performing in the towns and villages around Leeds since 1950. Free event.
On Friday 24 July 8pm,
a real treat as The Big Easy perform
at Seven. Leeds based 6-piece Swing band, The Big Easy have taken some of
the greatest tunes by the giants of swing; Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima,
Nina Simone and many more household names, added their own interesting
arrangements to bring you a set of the finest swing tunes. £10 / £8 conc.
Things turn mystical on Saturday
25 July, 7.30pm, when Dr Karla Mistry presents Dreamstar Cruise Hypnosis
Show. Audience members who volunteer are hypnotised
in front of you and amazing and amusing talents are then drawn out of
these participants on stage. Anyone can volunteer as long as you have a
fun personality and a good imagination!. £12.50.
