Cleckheaton Writers Group 13 July 2015

The Cleckheaton Writers Group met last night where P, M and I were in attendance, D, P, M and A having passed on their apologies.

P and M had no WIP news, but I have been editing and have written a new scene for TPB as part of the CampNaNoWriMo challenge and have been editing some pieces for entry into competitions. P has been editing S's manuscript and has been enjoying the story.

As the meeting was only for an hour due to a fundraising gig for Cleckheaton Literature Festival 2016 by A Firm of Poets at the Library from 7pm, there was no time for a feedback session, but both sessions are available for the next meeting.

I informed the members that York and Harrogate Festivals are taking place at the moment and related competition information as follows:

As MW then entered the meeting, we discussed the CLF2015 including the budget report, who has yet to pay/be paid and that the cost of the Town Hall is £438 per event (AP has agreed to ask if we could provisionally book).  P revealed that MH is unable to attend CLF2016.

The next meeting of the CWG is Monday 27 July 6-8pm at Cleckheaton Library.
