Creative Kirkless newsletter 15 July 2015

Hello and we hope you’re enjoying the warm weather and getting out to one of the many creative activities going on in Kirklees at the moment. If you’ve got a profile on Creative Kirklees make sure you add your summer events so that we can help promote them.

We’ve highlighted a couple of projects and their events this week that we think you’ll enjoy.
First off is Bear Hunting and Other Ways to Walk which is a new project from arts organisation We Do. The project is a programme of arts, nature, food, drink, gigs and performances on or near footpaths, or inspired by walking and journeys. It will get adults and children out onto the 700 miles of Kirklees footpaths between late July and the end of October. You can see a list of the events taking place by going to We Do’s profile and clicking on their Events to see everything that’s going on (or pick them out from What’s On).
Then we have Creative Scene and the exciting programme of arts and creative activities going on throughout North Kirklees. Between 19 – 23 July at various venues in Liversedge, Batley, Heckmondwike, Mirfield and Dewsbury,  Not Too Tame presents Early Doors – ‘Early Doors is not a play… it’s so much more than that… this is an electric, uplifting and down-to-earth celebration of community spirit and pub culture’. Get your tickets here.
Finally, today (Wed 15th) is your last day to respond to the Events Training Survey. If you think your group or organisation would benefit from training then this is your chance to say what you need.
