Hello and welcome again to another edition of the Creative Kirklees Newsletter. We are sure you will find the range of activities and news on offer is as varied as the weather!
First of all, a final reminder to book your place at the Open Space Event being held next Wednesday (15 July) at Huddersfield Art Gallery. This is an opportunity for you to take part in conversations about the Cultural Revitalisation of Huddersfield – don’t miss out on the chance to have your say!
Over in Birstall, the Oakwell Music Festival takes place on Sunday – this is a family-friendly festival with plenty of entertainment including a funfair, bouncy slides and castles and lots more. Also on Sunday, at the LBT, pupils of the Katie Philpott School of Dance take to the stage, displaying their talent for dance and skills in choreography.
Huddersfield Literature Festival are looking for volunteers in a variety of support roles to create a special 10th anniversary festival in 2016. If you are interested, why not pop along to their informal meeting on Tuesday 14 July?
The Events Training Survey deadline has been extended to Wednesday 15 July - don’t miss your chance to let the Council know what areas of event training would be most useful to your group/organisation – it only takes a few minutes!
