Modern Genius @ Seven


Today, Saturday 22nd February 4-6pm, more great live music on a winter's afternoon, with Winter Warmers - Suéli Gil performing in trio version, original music from her recently released EP, O Tempo é A’hora. Seven Bar. Pay What You Feel. Organised by MEWL Music.

On Sunday 23rd February, 2-4pm, for music and laughter, JazzLeeds – February Jazz Cafe and Jam Session, the friendliest jazz jam in town! Come and join in or just enjoy the fun. All styles and levels welcome – vocals and instrumentals – it’s all about the vibe. The JazzLeeds house band are there to support performers. Seven Venue. Pay What You Feel.

And, also on Sunday 23rd February, 7.30pm, a great way to end the weekend with friends at the Sunday Quiz, test your knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere – the best in Chapel Allerton. Seven Bar. £5 per team entry. With prizes.

Next week, Silky & Friends returns on Wednesday 26th February, 7.30pm with another stunning line up of comedians, headliner, Frankie Monroe (BBC New Comedy Award winner), plus Daisy Earl, Hannah Margaret, Jack Wilson. and of course your host, Silky. Seven Venue. £15 / £12 conc.

On Thursday 27th February, 7.30pm  JazzLeeds – Xhosa Cole “On a Modern Genius”, part of the launch tour of Cole's third LP ‘On a Modern Genius Vol. 1’, which celebrates the compositions of the inimitable pianist Thelonious Monk. With support, 7.30-8pm from Emma Coates. Seven Venue. £20 /£18 conc, £10, 30 and under.

And rounding off February, a quirky comedy show, FOIA Love, about strange public records, featuring an award-winning bluegrass band for a night of hilarious entertainment lands at Seven on Friday 28th February, 7.30pm. American comedian Curtis Raye has put together an evening of humour inspired by an unusual source: real government records. And be prepared for blazing fast banjo, fiddle, and mandolin music. Seven Venue. £15.
