The Screenwriting Challenge Kicks Off 21st!

 

 

 

The 22nd annual Screenwriting Challenge kicks off on February 21st, and will challenge writers worldwide to create short screenplays based on genre, subject, and character assignments in eight days. Feedback from the judges is provided for every submission, writers keep all the rights to the screenplays they create, and there are over $14,000 in cash and prizes for the winners. We are happy to announce that the winner of the Screenwriting Challenge 2025 will receive a one-hour phone consultation with Chris Amick, writer and co-executive producer for Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, writer for Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, Die Hart 2: Die Harter, and Final Space, as well as several films in development for Universal and Netflix. Chris Amick also teaches courses on writing, runs a newsletter called Residuals, and Executive Produced the genre-bending, existential thriller IT ENDS, premiering at SXSW 2025.
