Hi Karen,
Returning to Leeds
after her success at the 2024 Leeds International Piano
Competition, we're excited that Junyan Chen is back in our city, performing as part of the Leeds International Piano
Series.
At 'The Leeds' last
September, Junyan took home multiple prizes, including the Second
Prize and Marion Thorpe Silver Medal and the inaugural Alexandra
Dariescu Award for an outstanding performance of a work by a female
composer.
Other concerts you'll
love this month include Meliora Collective with
music for wind and strings, cellist Tim Posner and pianist Alasdair Beatson take us on a journey through the music of eastern
Europe, and there's plenty of free weekly lunchtime concerts
featuring music that spans centuries and continents.
See you at a concert soon,
