Creative Kirklees
Latest Events, News and Opportunities
Wednesday, February 19th
|
Welcome again to our newsletter! For
those of you looking for activities to occupy your children or
grandchildren this half term, we have included a few ideas below but
do check out the Children and Families
section of our website for more.
If anyone has a community
led textiles project that they would like to be part of WOVEN 2025
and would like some help with funding, there are a number of micro-grants and crowdfunding
opportunities available to individuals, community
groups and small organisations so do find out more if you are
interested.
The WYCreate masterclasses
are back with a new programme of FREE training opportunities for
West Yorkshire creative freelancers and business in
2025. Featuring both online and face-to-face delivery, these
sessions are aimed at all levels of expertise.
Spread over 4 days and
nights, the Electric Spring Festival
begins today at venues in Huddersfield and Leeds, bringing you music
at the cutting edge and the much-loved, quirky Slaithwaite Moonraking Festival
with its spectacular lantern parade, commemorating a legend of
smugglers, canals and the moon takes place this Saturday! And not
forgetting the Mrs Sunderland Festival which
is currently running and ends on Saturday night with the Last Night
of the Festival concert.
As always, we have picked a
selection of different types of events to include in our newsletter
today, but remember to check our websites as you will always find a
whole lot more!
