Plus Dave Spikey, Sophie Duker and extra shows
added for Bluey's Big Play
Today marks the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings,
the operation which laid the foundations for the Allied victory on
the Western Front and the end of WW2. The Channel Islands were the
only part of the British Isles to be occupied during the war, leaving
lasting marks on Jersey’s landscapes. Jersey will celebrate 80 years
of Liberation next year on May 09, nearly one year on from
D-Day. For history lovers, the island is a
not-to-be-missed destination, so why not plan to join us for the big
anniversary? Or come anytime and explore our fascinating wartime story and our place on Liberation
Route Europe at your leisure.
|
|
|
|
Take time to reset
and recharge at a DRIFT Day retreat, taking place on
Jersey’s west coast, with a focus on surf, delicious food and yoga.
Join a welcoming community, learn something new and soak up the
stunning surrounds of St. Ouen’s Bay, in the Jersey National Park.
|
|
|
With over 100
beers from local breweries and further afield, from hoppy IPAs to
smooth stouts, there’s something to suit every taste at this boutique
beer fest. Plus, with incredible music, Jersey’s finest street food
and other fun and games, the vibes will be strong all day long.

Did you know...
...islanders used the traditional language of Jèrriais
to communicate with each other during WW2, as neither the occupying
Germans, nor their French interpreters could understand it. However,
the social and economic upheaval of the war meant that the use of
English increased significantly after the island’s Liberation. Discover more about our native tongue.

Based
on the book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.
Meet
the very worst Baddies in the world! Don’t you dare to come
too close to a witch, a troll and an ancient ghost!
The
Baddies love being bad. They roar, spook and cast
wicked spells to try and scare a girl out of her wits...who
will succeed? Or perhaps the girl is braver than they
think...
With
songs by Joe Stilgoe (Zog and Zog and The
Flying Doctors), The Baddies is a wickedly
hilarious adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel
Scheffler’s smash-hit story. A laugh-out-loud riot for
all the family.
