Since
our first North Street competition in 2015, the feedback we
received from contestants is that...you want feedback! What were the judges'
impressions? What's working in your book? Which areas need
attention?
With the contest now in its tenth year, we're pleased to say that everyone who enters online will receive 5-10 sentences of
commentary from a judge.
We also slipped in a new benefit for one finalist in each of our
eight categories. They will receive free, full-length private critiques from Winning
Writers (value: $90-$240). Past finalist entries have featured
some truly great books that had just a few things holding them
back.
This
contest is for self-published and hybrid-published books. $20,400
will be awarded in all, including $10,000 for the grand prize
winner, plus numerous benefits to help the winners market their
books. The entry fee is $79 per book.
