I am off to Marrakech, Morocco tomorrow for a week, so this will be my last post until the 23rd and I thought I would post my usual weekend post early so my followers don't miss out:

Tuesday Club won't always be music-based, we plan on using it as a platform to showcase a whole load of great things happening in the Arts and drinks world.

Tonight, Thursday 14th March, 7.30pm, this sumptuous adaptation of the 1957 musical, West Side Story explores forbidden love and the rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks, two teenage street gangs of different ethnic backgrounds. On Sunday 17th March, 1.30-4pm, JazzLeeds – Jeff Hewer Quintet. His quintet plays contemporary jazz: everything from straight ahead burners to more contemplative meditations, with every piece a vehicle for collective and individual improvisations of the band members. £12 / £10. Under 16s free.

Also on Sunday 17th March, 7pm, the Sunday Quiz. Test your knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere – a great way to end the weekend with friends. £5 per team entry with prizes.

From 6 April we will be taking a six week break from The Studio as we bring our curated programme to another venue in Bradford. We will be back at The Studio in May.

About The Studio

 

The seating for The Studio at The Alhambra, with an audience sat under bright blue lights.

The Studio is located on Morley Street, just round the corner from the Alhambra Theatre’s main entrance. Please note there is no access to The Studio via the Alhambra Theatre.

Tickets are available to book online or in-person at The Studio 30 minutes before each screening.

Calling young aspiring singers for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Putting young people at the heart of this year’s Meltdown, we’re inviting London-based Black and Black mixed heritage female and non-binary people aged 18 – 25 to be a part of this unique festival choir, led by multidisciplinary artist and musician, Tawiah.
