This reposado is a collaboration between El Tequileno and Sam Heughan, actor and founder of Sassenach Spirits. Sassenach Select was initially matured for two years in American oak casks, before being finished in French oak barrels for four months. The palate brings notes of toasted oak, aromatic cooked agave, sweet spices, caramel and fresh herbs that
linger in the finish.

Stepping into carnivals, clubs and record shops across the country, Beyond the Bassline draws on different places that have cultivated creative expression and inspired a number of Black British music genres.

There's just a week to go until Ballet national de Marseille and (LA)HORDE perform their first major presentation in London, an exciting and diverse programme of contemporary dance.

In April, our new season opens with Hofesh Shechter's From England with Love, a playful and poignant new work performed by Shechter II.

Exciting changes are underway – from Tuesday 20 February we’re making improvements to the Royal Festival Hall’s Level 2 foyer spaces, as we work to bring you a brand new cafe, bar, shop and Ticket Office. Thanks for your patience during the upgrades.

Throughout the refurbishment, the Queen Elizabeth Hall’s Concrete Cafe and Ticket Office are open daily from 10am, and the National Poetry Library, Members’ Lounge and Mandela Walk shop are open as usual.

An ear to the east

Our Spring/Summer 2024 season is a celebration of new and well-known music and musicians, including many with their roots in Eastern Europe.

Discover music not previously performed by major European orchestras as the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and conductor Kirill Karabits present a day-long celebration of Ukraine and its surrounding regions, featuring contrasting musical traditions from Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine.

Earlier in the season, Ukrainian pianist Vadym Kholodenko devotes his April concert to two vast, extraordinary works spanning a narrative from grief to resistance that connects deeply with the spirit of his home country.

Exciting changes are underway – from Tuesday 20 February we’re making improvements to the Royal Festival Hall’s Level 2 foyer spaces, as we work to bring you a brand new cafe, bar, shop and Ticket Office. Thanks for your patience during the upgrades.

Throughout the refurbishment, the Queen Elizabeth Hall’s Concrete Cafe and Ticket Office are open daily from 10am, and the National Poetry Library, Members’ Lounge and Mandela Walk shop are open as usual.
