Early Deadline
Is September 30!

Hollywood has adapted
countless movies and TV pilots from great short stories. And that's a
trend that shows no signs of slowing.
If your short story
has cinematic adaptation potential, we’d love to consider it for this
year’s Cinematic
Short Story Writing Competition! And when you enter
with feedback, you'll get actionable, constructive notes to take your
script to the next level and improve your craft.
This year, ScreenCraft
welcomes producer and founder of the management and production company Ground
Control, Scott Glassgold.

Scott
has sold a number of high-profile short story projects to Amazon, Netflix, Universal, Paramount, and more. Among
those projects are THE DWELLING, which also has Michael B. Jordan
producing; I AM NOT ALONE, with Jessica Chastain set to star; and
CARETAKER, with Sydney Sweeney starring and Michael Bay producing.

Our judges are looking
for fiction and non-fiction short stories and novellas with 20,000
words or fewer. Is your short story the next to reach new heights
through adaptation? There's only one way to find out!
