*all these are available to purchase and more on the Art Gallery site

I am happy and proud to share the news that my artist daughter Georgiana now has paintings available for sale on Art Gallery: https://www.artgallery.co.uk/listing/search?query=Georgiana%20&fbclid=IwAR0f22LKdKKERvEDTS2dClI6HxwtDI8HzzXdKCT9ozQDQT-Eo8ozk4FZyv0 as well as on her website: www.georgianarebekah.wixsite.com.

Georgiana was selected for The AON Community Art Award 2018-19 and her practice is based on the process and transformation of materials. As part of this award, several of her disc pieces were displayed at the Aon Building ('the cheesegrater' in London) and sold at The AON auction to an office building close to Buckingham Palace (see pictures below).

This led to Georgiana winning an artists residency in Tuscany in October 2019.

Discs: After experimentation with different materials and substances, Georgiana took to metal due to how malleable and versatile it can be. The engagement with a constant, physical process of turning metal on the lathe to form a once flat material into a three-dimensional object is the driving force behind the beginning of each of her works. Making the purposeful decision to present each piece in the form of a sphere to refer back to landscape and natural. Every imperfection and mark to the surface is then enhanced and glorified by performing a series of oxidisation methods, altering the material until it eventually looks nothing like its original form. Throwing up vibrant tones of oranges and blues, Georgiana hopes to show the viewer that decay in nature, such as rust and verdigris, can be beautiful.

One of her London clients had their pieces framed and this is a service Georgiana is able to offer on commission:

Georgiana's previous paintings include landscapes with research recorded through photographs and rough sketches that were made on location. On reflection of these images, Georgiana noticed the pattern of not necessarily capturing the landscape itself, but instead the rich colour pallet within each scene.

Collaboration pieces in both wood and metal include tables, bookcases, bowls, ornaments and more which can be viewed on her artist Instagram page: georgianarebekah along with her paintings, discs and more.
