Rob Brydon A Night of Songs and Laughter
Huddersfield Town Hall
Sunday 28th March 2021 7:30pm
Tickets £36 plus booking fee
Featuring a sensational live band, 'A NIGHT OF SONGS AND
LAUGHTER' tells Rob's personal musical journey from South Wales to
Hollywood and back. With a hugely entertaining and sometimes
brilliantly unexpected selection of songs from Tom Jones to Tom Waits
and his famed impressions of the likes of Mick Jagger, Michael Caine
and Steve Coogan, Rob will regale audiences with hilarious tales from
his distant and recent past.
The hilarious Sarah Millican is back on tour with a
Bobby Dazzler of a new stand-up show.
In this, her sixth international tour, you’ll learn about what happens
when your mouth seals shut, how to throw poo over a wall, trying to
lose weight but only losing the tip of your finger, a surprisingly
funny smear test, and how truly awful a floatation tank can actually
be.
Sarah has spent the last year writing jokes and growing her backside.
She can’t wait to get back on the road and make you laugh.
Funny Cleckers presents a superb night of comedy,
starring headline act LOST VOICE GUY, winner of Britian’s Got Talent
2018, and one of the most sought after comedians in the UK. With
support from STEVE SHANYASKI (Jason Manford's Comedy Rocks), and NINA
GILLIGAN, winner of Hot Water Comedian of the Year and Leicester
Mercury finalist 2020. Hosted by Howard Walker.
Back by popular demand, Paul Zerdin and everyone’s
favourite puppets are heading your way with a brand new UK tour in
Autumn 2021.
Sam, Albert, Baby, Roger the bodyguard and an urban fox
have all survived 2020 locked down with Paul….well nearly. They can’t
wait to see you, so get ready to be involved. As well as his hilarious
characters ‘Hands Free’ features Paul giving us a glimpse into his own
world showing us what it’s like to be able to throw your voice in
everyday situations where anything and everything can talk back!
Don’t miss out on your chance to see the winner of
America’s Got Talent, the star of London’s Palladium Panto and without
doubt one of Britain’s finest entertainers at Cleckheaton Town Hall.
‘’The best ventriloquist Britain has discovered for many
years...’’ The Stage
“If you think the words ‘brilliant’ and ‘ventriloquist’
have no place in the same sentence, go and see Paul Zerdin for some
brutal re-education” Evening Standard
“Technically immaculate, it’s what he does with his
slick talent that really sets him apart. His relationship with the
characters has all the dramatic tension of a real life double
act” The Guardian
Local charities and
community groups need your help more than ever to support local people
over the festive season. Winter volunteering opportunities include
delivering meals or supporting community groups and foodbanks who are
helping people in crisis. Donations are always welcome and One
Community's Match It Fund will double your contribution. You can take
part in online activities as a family, or nominate someone to receive a
gift or treat.
Over 9 million people in the UK say they are always or
often lonely. This year has been particularly difficult for
many. The
Great Winter Get Together is a month of activities
organised by the Jo Cox Foundation, from 14th December 2020 to 18th
January 2021. Join in with the activities over the next few weeks to
help tackle loneliness, one connection at a time.
You can help celebrate our local skills and rich textile
heritage (and brighten lots of people's day) by taking part in The Big Rainbow Knit.
WOVEN in Kirklees are going to be yarn bombing Huddersfield Train
Station next June, wrapping the six grand pillars with a giant knitted
rainbow. Activity groups, schools and individuals of any age are
very welcome to join in by making knitted pieces at home. Here's how to
get involved...
Are you part of a local group who are missing out on your
usual Christmas fair, concert or other fundraising event this
Christmas? Kirklees
Council have made an extra £50,000 available to support community
groups and organisations in our local places. The extra
money, available from your ward councillors' project budgets, is for
groups who have lost out on income over the Christmas and New Year
period, due to Covid-19.
Sharing the
experiences of tenants and leaseholders
This summer 2,432 tenants and leaseholders told us what
it’s really like to live in their council home and their local place.
To help everyone learn more about what participants said, we've
published all the comments and some useful summary documents online.
A Neighbourhood Plan is a way for people who live and work
in a particular area to have a say in planning policies. This includes
deciding how a local area should develop and what kind of thing should
be built. Holme Valley Parish Council have created a plan for the Holme
Valley. Anyone who lives or works in the area (or who has an interest)
can share comments on the neighbourhood plan between now and 5pm on
Tuesday 2nd February 2021.
