Got plans for the weekend? Here are a few ideas for Leeds, Kirklees and New York:
|
Courtyard Jazz @ Seven
This weekend, the weather promises to
be good, so perfect for sitting outside at Seven. And we've lots of
inside space too, so no need to book a table unless you want to.
Luigi’s Street Food Italiano will be here all weekend with his fabulous
Street Food Italiano from 12 noon today through until Sunday evening,
for eating in and takeaway.
This Sunday, 19th July, 1.30-3.30pm, Courtyard Jazz organised by
JazzLeeds, a welcome return for the Gypsy Jazz quartet from Leeds and
York, “Manouche North” with Vernon Bigsby on guitar, Stephen
Schulman on violin, Christine Pinkard on clarinet and Julia Schomburg
on cello. PWYF donations please.
And of course, look forward to the sunday Quiz, also on Sunday 19th
July at 8pm. Test your knowledge in a relaxed, socially distanced
atmosphere – as ever, a great way to challenge those little grey cells
and end the weekend with friends and family. £2 per person entry with
prizes.
If you have not been to the quiz before and would like to take part,
please email info@sevenleeds.co.uk and
we will send details.
We look forward to
seeing you at Seven very soon. Every £ spent at Seven helps support
high quality arts in a local setting.

Our almighty list of
restaurants that have reopened just keeps getting longer, so if you're
ready to head back out, whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, this is
your go-to guide. You can feast on a full English, indulge in

After a 4 month
hiatus, Harvey Nichols has reopened with an eye-popping sale that
promises up to 50% off your favourite designer labels. They've introduced
a raft of new measures to keep you safe, but it's just as luxurious
as ever, especially if you book in with one of their personal
shoppers.

After months of
lockdown, you're probably ready to get away – and what better way to do
it than with a spot of glamping? You can escape to the heart of the
Yorkshire countryside in utter luxury with these oh-so-extravagant finds.
From yurts to geodomes, camping has never been so much fun.

The city's nightlife
is back with a bang. In fact, we've added another 54 bars and pubs to our
list since our last update – that brings the total up to 99! From
craft beer to cocktails, dive bars to local boozers, there's something
for everyone on this list, so if you're planning a night out, this is the
place to start – or at least to choose where to start.

What's
up New York,
This wonderful
Wednesday will be warm and partly cloudy. 🌥
Hole

Did you know that NYC
libraries are ready to tackle your post-pandemic reading needs? 📚🎉
The newest

stuff that makes us weep.

American Artist
American
Artist is a writer, educator and designer among other trades. Through work
with interfaces, Artist's projects incorporate everything from video, to photography
and old software.
In this interview,
they discuss how their art work explores the inner workings of African
American labor and visibility in our heavily connected world.
|
Outdoor Dining Obstacles
As
restaurants battle with social distancing restrictions, they must also
actively improve their seating arrangements. Eateries have been forced out on
to streets to organize tables, tents, and umbrellas to serve guests.
Now, the new
dining circumstances come with their own safety concerns and weather
vulnerability.

Creativity Raising Funds
Library
Street Collective is holding auctions, selling work from different artists to
fundraise for numerous community groups.
The artists
working with Library Street Collective are able to choose which nonprofit to
allocate 100% of the money raised. Sam Friedman, a New York artist, is set to
be first on the platform line up, dedicating proceeds to NYC Together.
