Creative
Kirklees Newsletter 30 June 2020
|
Hello
everyone, and welcome again to your weekly round up of creativity in the
area!
#KirkleesPride2020 is
taking place this week - LGBT+ pride events look and feel very different
this year due to Covid-19 and social distancing restrictions, but there
are plenty of online activities and webinars to get involved with.
‘Hello
Huddersfield’ a destination website dedicated to showcasing the
vibrancy of the town and celebrating all that Huddersfield has to offer,
will be launched on 4th July by Huddersfield BID . ‘Hello Huddersfield’
will be a modern and quirky platform for food and drink, entertainment,
visitor attractions, events, accommodation, interesting blogs and much
more. Do check it out.
Also this
week, there is a call out for artists who might like to collaborate with Evoke
on their Arts Pack Initiative, set up for the most disadvanted
children and young people across Kirklees. The deadline to express
your interest is 2 July!
As ever,
we have just picked out a few things to highlight for you here, but you
will find many more in the newsletter and on the website! And remember,
you can follow us on Facebook and Twitter. |

Kirklees Newsletter 9 June 2020
|
Hello
everyone and welcome to your weekly creative update!
Unfortunately
in our newsletter last week, there were errors in loading Pat Fulgoni’s
video “Lecturing
for Beginners Guide To The Music Biz - Music Sync Tips" – this
has now been sorted and can be viewed without problem.
There are
so many opportunities and ideas coming up to get you creative that we
can’t fit them all in here so please check out our website to make sure you
don’t miss anything!
Just to
highlight a couple things:
The
2020 Great Get Together (19-21 June), celebrating the life of Jo Cox
MP will be different from previous years and, though we can’t get
together, we can still connect together. This year the Great Get
Together is about celebrating the power of community – they have some
great ideas of how to get involved – do join in and Get Together!
With
their COVID-19
Commissioning Fund, hcmf// is looking to establish immediate paid
opportunities for UK-based music creators, responding to the financial
and professional complications artists face in the wake of the current
pandemic. Do check this out if relevant to you or please pass on to
