What's On in LONDON?

Derived from hip-hop, spoken word is an alternative type of performance that when performed using voice inflexion, wordplay and intonation, can be incredibly moving. So, if you’re intrigued, dip your wandering toe into the somewhat underground world of spoken word poetry and bring it to the surface and to the top of your social calendar, by trying out one of these spoken poetry events in London...

In case you can’t make it to Ireland to celebrate, don't worry - there are so many ways to get involved in town. Taste Irish cuisine in Borough, at FEST Camden book an Irish brunch, and watch the Ireland vs France Six Nations game at Bounce Farringdon, to name a few.

Finger Frame
While working as a Guggenheim fellow to document Vietnamese war amputees in 2012, Pipo Nguyen-duy began working on “(My) East of Eden” in the Mekong Delta. This project is the artist’s attempt to reclaim his childhood memories of growing up in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
Beyond serving as the means to tell his stories, Nguyen-duy intends for these images to address issues such as legacy, hope, and regeneration.
Working with rural Vietnamese children in school uniforms, the artist created portraits and staged photographs reminiscent of 19th-century British landscape paintings where the environment and its inhabitants coexist in harmony.
Weekend Guide
It's March, time to celebrate all the ladies and femme identifying individuals in your life!
Enjoy the coming of spring from paint and sips, to marches, to St. Patrick's Day bar crawls, check out our weekend guide for a good time.
Pair 🧀 Drink🍷
Instead of being told which cheeses to pair with what wines and when you'll be able to do the pairing yourself. That's right, you're in control of creating an absolutely heavenly combination of wines and cheeses, for your very own palate and taste. No judgments.
Whether you’re a die-hard wine-and-cheese fan or just want to treat yourself after another long day at work, you will be taught how to pair artisan cheeses with the perfect counterparts, while still eating and drinking which wines and cheeses you want when.
Artsy Women
During the Women Making an Impact Through Art panel, Kristina Huntington held an open format conversation about the art industry with Sara Douglas, Editor-in-Chief at ARTnews, Caron Lee, Founder of the She Likes Cutie agency, and Ivy Naté, Mixed-Media Artist.
Despite experiencing different facets of the industry, the women agreed on the future of the arts. If it is to progress, those in power must focus their intention and use it to both select and encourage those who would not traditionally gain support while emerging in the industry.
Short Story Selection
Set in the steampunk world of New York’s sixth borough Lytton, moving pictures and advanced machines have started to worry the commonplace residents.
Two young inventors try to find their way in this seemingly British version of New York.
This story questions both the nature of machines as well as the nature of the self. How do humans create machines with minds, and why does it keep occurring?
🍕❤🍷
If you’re lucky enough to have been one of the one-thousand attendees who already spent a fun-fueled evening making Neapolitan pizza and drinking bottomless wine with your friends, family, or work squad, then you already know what the hype is about. If not, here’s a quick run-down of how it all goes down.
Please note, if your group is 10 people or more (birthday parties & corporate/team-building events are welcome!), please contact info@spoilednyc.com to discuss setting up a private event.
March Guide
Happy March, it's International Women's month.
Despite the cold, there's a lot to celebrate. From Armory week to food crawls through Brooklyn here's your guide to braving the cold and shaking your social calendar up.
Cheese-Pull, Anyone?!
This month, prepare to roll up your sleeves for three more installments of 'Make Mozz Drink Wine' at Kesté’s Fulton Street location, where you’ll spend two hours learning how to make (and taste, duh!) some of the freshest mozzarella you’ll find in New York City.
Not only will you gain hands-on experience, but you’ll also enjoy complimentary glasses of house red and white wines for the afternoon (did somebody say, “SUNDAY FUNDAY!?”) while learning first-hand all about mozzarella.
