Calderdale Libraries Film Club, Spring 2018

With details of upcoming films at the Calderdale Libraries Film Club:

Calderdale Libraries Film Club
Screenings in Spring 2018

  • Entry to all showings is FREE
  • Since seating is limited and screenings will go ahead based on pre-bookings, you will need to book a ticket – either by phone or in person from the relevant library, using the contact details shown
  • All showings start at 2pm, unless otherwise stated

For those of you that attended King Cross Library to potentially see a screening of la Belle Noiseuse in May  -  a sincere apology.

However, Film Club has reached a cross-roads: with no immediate volunteering coming forward and stretched resources, Film Club screenings can only viably go ahead in the certain knowledge of an audience attending.
In May, we had no bookings at all  -  only the kind responses from those unable to attend.

The additional requirements of GDPR legislation also means that some of the email mailout list is now deleted (as members did not respond to the initial mailout ahead of legislation) and the postal list also cancelled   -   so if you know anyone who would like to receive Film Club information again, but isn't currently, please pass on this email !

For the future of Film Club screenings, can I urge you to book in advance from Central or King Cross Libraries ?
There is no cost, other than the time to ring or ask in the library.
There will be a 'guaranteed' audience at the 13 June Central Library screening  -   because a small group will attend to see how/where the screening runs  -  but fuure screenings may otherwise be abandoned if insufficient numbers commit.

Thank you for your continued support.
