I lost my voice due to the Eagles’ win,
but not my writer’s voice

So about that loud noise you heard coming from Philadelphia last Sunday
night? It was the end of 57 years of football frustration signaled with
deafening shouts of joy! Mine included!
We’re still enjoying the warm glow of our hometown Eagles’ Super Bowl
triumph. A lot of BookBaby folks braved the cold for the raucous victory
parade that wound around the city. Most of us here are still a bit hoarse
but deliriously happy with the outcome.
So while we’re trying to regain our voices, let’s talk about authors’
need to find one—their writer’s voice, that is. Frequent BookBaby blog
contributor Dawn Field wrote that an authentic voice “is your greatest
asset as a writer.”
“Having a recognizable voice is an achievement in and of itself,” she
says. You can read the rest of her great post right here.
Meanwhile, to help lift the spirits of our New England readers, I’ll
share this story from the Boston
Globe about a unique way that the local public library scrubs
its books. It’s right here.

Everything the writer needs in one
program
|
|
|
There’s a reason why Bob Zemeckis, Andrew Davis, Manny
Coto, Rockne O’Bannon, Joe Corso, Jeff Stein and many more, all use
MasterWriter. It is simply the most powerful suite of writing tools ever
assembled in one program.
MasterWriter gives you Word Families, Phrases, Synonyms, Pop Culture,
Rhymes, Definitions, a searchable Bible and more. We recently added Figures of Speech,
which gives you instant access to Metaphors, Similes, Onomatopoeia,
Idioms, Oxymorons, Allusions, Alliterations, and our newest dictionary,
Intensifiers, a one-of-a-kind source of intense descriptive words.
The greatest enemy of creativity is distraction. Searching a bookshelf of
reference dictionaries, or bouncing from one website to the next trying
to find the right word is a distraction. Why struggle to find that word
when MasterWriter will give you all the possibilities in an instant?
