Come Away With Me @ Seven

On Thursday 12 November. 8pm, Seven Jazz presents a cracking concert, Russell Van Den Berg Quartet with support from Sam Dutton-Taylor Quartet. The evening will include compositions from solo albums Russ's made as a solo artist and will play material from those he’s worked with including a tribute to the late Kenny Wheeler. £14/£12 conc 

Local musician favourites, Ros Lewis & Dave Lewis have a dual album launch on Friday 13 November, 8pm. Ros Lewis presents, ‘Live at Inkwell’, recorded in September 2014 and Dave Lewis has completed his first solo studio album, bluesy, with echoes of jazz, 'Call Me Dave'. The double-bill concert features songs from both albums: £7 adv.

On Saturday 14 November, 7.45pm, Urban Sprawl presents Come Away With Me. With touches of WB Yeats, Daniel Defoe & JM Barry, Yorkshire’s only homeless theatre company enchant you with stories woven within stories, with their brand of humour, intelligence and heart breaking authenticity. £7 / £5 conc

Sunday Jazz on Sunday on Sunday 15 November, 1.30 – 4pm, is the Al Wood Quintet. This is an unstoppable expression of joy with Cuban flautist, Jose Zalba-Smith, along with pianist, James Clark, Bassist, Pete Komor and drummer, Rod Oughton of the Lonely Hearts Rugby Club. £7/£5 conc  Kids under 16 free. Later in the day from 7.15-10.15pm, look forward to an English Ceilidh. Mrs Porter’s Ensemble plays lively English-style traditional dance music for old and new country dances. No experience is needed. £5 on the door. Or round off the weekend with popular and challenging Sunday Quiz at 8pm in the bar. Free with raffle and prizes.

Heads up for a plethora of film from diverse cultures next week, with Screen Seven showing of Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter, on Monday 16 November, Amreeka, part of Leeds Palestinian Film Festival on Tuesday 17 November, Leeds International Film festival showing of Jaco on Wednesday 18 November, and The Bentwich Syndrome, from UK Jewish Film Festival on Thursday 19 November.
