Creative Kirklees Newsletter 18 November 2015

This week sees Huddersfield host the UK's largest international festival of experimental and new music – the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, or hcmf// as it’s known.  The 38th hcmf// promises a programme filled with cutting-edge music from a host of leading international composers and performers.  From Mexico to the USA and Québec, from Poland, Switzerland, Germany, Luxemburg and France, ensembles, quartets and soloists are travelling to perform at hcmf// this year as well as favourites and newcomers from the UK.  Don’t miss it!
Huddersfield Hat guides will be out in venues this week but you can get advanced viewing of the guide at the
Huddersfield Hat event  here and keep in touch via Facebook/HuddHat.

If you’ve not taken part in the survey ‘
Understanding the Kirklees Creative Ecology’ then please take a few minutes to complete this by 26 November.  The survey follows on from the recently commissioned report on the size and scale of the creative sector in Kirklees and aims to explore this further and get an understanding of what the sector actually looks like. If you are a creative business, or you use creativity in your business, please take this survey.
There’s also another chance to have your say with this year’s Council budget consultation which is now out.  Follow
this link and make sure you give your feedback.
