Creative Kirklees Newsletter 4 November 2015

If this was a musical newsletter we’d be starting it with a fanfare to Marsden Jazz Festival who has been named Yorkshire’s best festival at a top awards ceremony!  The annual three-day live music event, which took place in October, has won the ‘Outstanding Established Festival’ title at the Yorkshire Gig Guide Grassroots Awards 2015.

The deadline is approaching for artists and venues who want to put on a Huddersfield  Hat event – make sure you register your event here by this Friday to be included in the printed publicity.  Don’t miss your chance to hop on board and put on your own event during the weekend of 4-6 December.
For all those singers and singing groups out there we think you'll enjoy this Dewsbury lunchtime concert -
The Queen's Six will be performing on 11 November with A cappella singing ranging from the 16th Century masterpieces to brilliant new jazz arrangements. Definitely a concert not to be missed.
Finally, a survey will be coming your way in the next few days that we encourage you to complete. It builds on the Kirklees Creative Sector Impact Study and will help to dig a bit deeper into the make-up of the sector in Kirklees.  We just wanted to ask you to look out for it on Creative Kirklees and your inbox!
