Litro Magazine Short Work Revision & Submission Sprint sessions

These sessions come with a fee, and I do not endorse courses shared on my site:

Short Work Revision & Submission Sprint

Bring one short piece. Leave with a submission plan.

If you have a short story, flash piece, essay, hybrid piece, memoir fragment, prose poem, or other short-form draft that is nearly there but not quite ready, the July Short Work Revision & Submission Sprint is built for that final push.

Across three live Zoom sessions, we work on one piece up to 4,000 words: the opening, the section that drags or feels unclear, the ending, repeated line-level habits, and the submission package.

The aim is simple: a cleaner draft, a short cover note, and a realistic shortlist of places to send.

“The sprint has been incredibly useful and a little humbling as well. I will try to get the story as clean as possible.”
— Eline Tuijn, June Submission Sprint student

“A few craft points have finally clicked into place for me, so I’m feeling a surge of enthusiasm.”
— Nicky Torode, June Submission Sprint student

The July cohort is for writers who do not need another vague workshop. They need a deadline, a final pass, and a practical submission plan.

Live on Zoom:
Thursdays, 23 July, 30 July, and 6 August 2026
Time: 6:00–7:15 pm UK / 1:00–2:15 pm ET
One piece only: up to 4,000 words
Cohort cap: 15 writers

You leave with one stronger short work, a cleaner opening and ending, sharper line-level control, a submission-ready draft, a short cover note, and a shortlist of realistic places to send.

Places are capped at 15 because each writer brings one piece and receives focused feedback.
