Rethinking Masculinity
Kenneth
Tam spent some time discussing masculinity and his work for the anti-racist
group StopDiscriminAsian, for the series Meet the NYC Art Community. More
specifically, Tam sheds light on the “strain of absurdity and awkward humor”
reoccurring in his creations.
His current
project investigates Asian-American masculinity, especially as it is
undermined according to hegemonic standards from a Western standpoint.
