Below you can see a summary of some of the recent updates we
have sent to subscribers of our coronavirus emails.
Health, care and
support services are #StillHereToHelp
Health, care and support services in the Bradford District
have launched a campaign to reassure people that they’re still here to help – albeit with some
changes to their normal routines.
This is the message from doctors and care professionals who
are concerned that some people, who are unwell with symptoms unrelated to
coronavirus, or who are in need of other types of care and support, are
unsure how to get help or are not seeking it in fear that they are
over-burdening services.
Road markings
tribute to Bradford district NHS workers
Our Highways team have worked with our road-marking
contractors Jointline Ltd to create lovely messages of support and thanks
on the roads outside the district's hospitals - Bradford Royal Infirmary,
St Luke's Hospital and Airedale General Hospital.
Business rates
grants
Quickly paying Covid-19 business rates grants continues to
be one of the council’s top priorities. Additional staff have been
brought into our business rates team which has worked through weekends
and public holidays to carefully carry out the checks required by
government and transfer the funds.
To date we have paid out over £44 million in business
support grants and will continue to support local businesses in every way
we can.
