speaker announced
May's event with agent, Stevie Finegan was brilliant -
lots of wonderful insight into genre writing and the Zeno Agency. Our
June speaker will be Sara O'Keefe of Aevitas Creative
Management.
Sara O' Keeffe has 20 years' publishing experience. She
began her career at Book Club Associates, before moving to the Orion
Publishing Group, where she was a Senior Commissioning Editor. She
then spent eight years as Editorial and then Publishing Director of
the Corvus commercial fiction imprint of Atlantic Books and also sat
on the Atlantic Books Limited Board of Directors. Sara has worked
with a host of major brand names in fiction, from crime writer
Minette Walters to bestselling author Elizabeth Buchan; Roman epic
series writer Robert Fabbri and award-winning science fiction writer
Chris Beckett. She was the UK editor for Kevin Kwan's international
bestseller, Crazy Rich Asians along with Robert Ludlum's
'Bourne' series. She acquired and published the cult
bestseller Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell, which spent
six weeks at the top of the New York Times bestseller list.
Sarah O'Keefe represents literary and commercial
fiction, along with some middle-grade and YA fiction.
