Festival time in Brighouse is fast approaching as
the annual Arts Festival rolls into town next month. The
programme offers a celebration of creativity and
entertainment. Tickets for the events are selling fast so
don't delay.
Starting on Friday 4th October it brings together
the best of local talent with those from farther afield. The
programme contains something for everyone with nine days of
concerts, talks, theatre shows and art.

The official Festival opening performed by the Mayor of
Calderdale at a free event featuring music and theatre at St
Martin's Church 2pm Saturday October 5th, all welcome.
On Tuesday 8th October, a double bill of contemporary
theatre with Matthew Harrison-Lord and Lydia De La Murray at
Pregos's Restaurant, 7.30pm
Wednesday 9th brings a live acoustic music night to Lane Head
Hotel at 8.00pm
An exciting "Open Mic" event at Brighouse library on
Thursday 10th at 2pm will see a variety of new talent performing.
A Feast of Gilbert and Sullivan on Wednesday 9th October, 7.30pm
at St John's Church, Rastrick,
On Friday 11th October at 2pm a talk and recital about
Brighouse's famous soprano Mrs Sunderland.
In the evening of the 11th we have a topical Fringe Theatre
Double Bill "Thatcher May Trump Farage", 7pm at St
John's Church Hall Rastrick.
Talks are on most days, including; Noel Moroney talking all

A Photography Tour of Brighouse - bring your camera 10.30am

For children "Bloxels" make a video game at

A family Mini Fest at Field Lane Community Centre, Rastrick
offers a variety of entertainment FREE from 10am to 1pm October
12th.
For opera lovers we have a screened performance of Puccini's La
Boheme on October 12th at 7pm venue TBC
Art exhibitions are all around the town.
