Creative Kirklees newsletters

Here are the latest Creative Kirklees newsletters for my followers to peruse:

Creative Kirklees Newsletter 11 July 2017

Welcome again, to this week’s Newsletter.  We can’t bring you sunshine but we can certainly bring you a vast array of creativity!
We’re keeping our fingers crossed that the weather improves for Mirfield Arts Festival coming up this weekend – why not pop along and take a flight at this year’s Star Trek themed event? With mostly free activities taking place at over 12 venues throughout Mirfield for 3 days, there’ll be something to suit everyone – and don’t forget the Festival Parade on Sunday!
If you fancy a night out, Creative Scene’s tour of its fabulous pub quiz performance ‘It’s Your Round’ is in full swing this week - the quiz with a cabaret twist by Scary Little Girls could be coming to a local near you!  They’re at The Leggers Inn, Dewsbury tonight!
And, with the school summer holidays nearly upon us, if you’re looking out for activities to entertain your children, remember to check out the What’s On section of Creative Kirklees. Might a Summer School Safari appeal to them or perhaps a Play Vinyl Kids Workshop?  The site is continually being updated so keep your eye out!

Creative Kirklees Newsletter - 27 June 2017

We are starting the Newsletter this week by drawing your attention to a couple of news items:
First of all, a new mini Purple Guide has been published by the Events Industry Forum to help organisers of smaller events comply with regulations and good practice – essential reading for those of you out there who organise events!
Secondly, to showcase the wealth of creativity in Kirklees a lovely presentation has been created. The Kirklees Arts Portfolio gives just a sample of the vast amount of creativity going on in our area. Please enjoy and share with your contacts.
And, if its events and activities you are looking to get involved in over the week ahead, you will find plenty on offer. To suggest just a few: Cleckheaton Folk Festival offers a weekend full of song, dance and entertainment, the Slick Stick Sambastic band, make their first appearance on the Greenhead Park bandstand on Sunday, as part of the Friends of Greenhead Park season of free summer afternoon concerts and Holmfirth Artweek begins on 2 July featuring the work of over 400 artists and is now one of the UK's major annual art exhibitions. Do read on to find many more!

Hello again Newsletter readers
As part of our on-going development to continually improve Creative Kirklees and our commitment in protecting your data we are pleased to announce that Assembly Studios has updated the site’s security by migrating to HTTPS using SSL Certification.  Not only does this add greater protection, it is also in line with recommendations made by Google, Facebook and others and therefore boosts the website search ranking – a good tip for the development of your own sites too!
A reminder to all existing Kirklees Concert Season subscribers (orchestral concerts) that the priority booking period to renew your 2017/18 season ticket ends very soon.  Please make sure your completed application form is sent to Huddersfield Town Hall Box Office by 14th July.   Are you thinking of becoming a subscriber?  If so, please note they are available from 18th July until 28th September 2017, for more information contact Huddersfield Town Hall Box Office on 01484 225755.
For those of you who are looking for something to do, there’s another great week of creativity ahead.
