Next week, Seven begins its autumn season, kicking off on Monday 12 September, 8pm, with the Screen seven showing of Suffragette. The life of Maud, working wife and mother, is forever changed when she is secretly recruited to join the UK’s growing suffragette movement. Galvanized by Emmeline Pankhurst, Maud becomes an activist for the cause alongside women from all walks of life who engage in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with the authorities. Stars Carey Mulligan, Anne-Marie Duff, Helena Bonham Carter. £6 / £5 conc.

On Tuesday 13 September, 8pm, Café Scientifique examines Human Relationships and Technology, introduced by Dr Kathleen Richardson. In our digitally connected society, ever more of your ‘friends’ and ‘followers’ are now bots (internet robots). Real robots are set to become your friends and even your sexual partners – what does this mean for our sense of being human? Hat Donations.

It's Seven Live – Chapel Allerton’s #1 Music Night  on Wednesday 14 September, 8pm. A mouth watering mix of great live music :  infectious, ukulele driven punked-up originals from Speed Dinosaurs; progressive, folk-tinged and highly nuanced original songs from The Silver Reserve; Ros Lewis with Michael Baum on piano; and Gemma Irving presents new original material, as well as some classic folk covers. £6 otd.

On Friday 16 September 8pm, Mewl Music presents the fabulous Dudley Nesbitt - A Journey Through Calypso. Dudley showcases his talent (and passion) for the music of the steel pan, taking us on a musical journey tracing the history and development of this fascinating art form, weaved through some classic calypso tunes. £8 adv /£10 otd.

Rounding off the week on Saturday 17 September, 8.30pm, look forward to Laurel Canyon Union and Jester B. Jester B is a duo, replicating acoustic guitar based songs with vocal harmonies including contemporary folk, Americana and classics from Simon and Garfunkel and the Everly Brothers. £8 adv / £10 otd.  Doors 8pm.
