Live performances from ‘A Firm of Poets’ who will
be joined by some excellent local poets.
A creative discussion on how poetry can be further developed in
the area

Ralph here from ‘A Firm of Poets’. Along with ‘Creative Scene’ We’d love to
invite you to an event on Thursday titled, ‘We Need To Talk About Poetry’.
The event will take place at Cloggs Café in Dewsbury this Thursday between
6pm and 8pm and will feature live performances from the highly regarded ‘A
Firm of Poets’ ( Matt Abbott, John Darwin, Kirsty Taylor) who will also be
joined by some excellent local poets for the event. . There will then be a
creative discussion on how poetry can be embraced by local communities, and
how that can be achieved, This will hopefully result in poetry being written
and performed at the end of the event! If you are from North Kirklees and
are interested in poetry or might know people who are, please come along or
share this information. It's free and will be great fun.
They are also undertaking a 20 date tour in Autumn. Here
