'Catch Me Daddy' - In Cinemas Now!
Catch Me Daddy - made with investment from the Yorkshire Content Fund. 
Catch Me Daddy, the highly anticipated debut feature from music video director Daniel Wolfe, is screening at cinemas in the UK from Friday 27th February.The taut and visceral thriller, which premiered to acclaim in the Cannes Directors' Fortnight 2014, filed at locations including Mixenden, Todmorden, Baildon, Halifax, Wainstall, Rishworth Moor & Holmfirth. Catch Me Daddy stars Sameena Jabeen Ahmed, who won best newcomer at the London Film Festival, as Laila, a young woman forced to flee for her life on the Yorkshire Moors, pursued by her brother and a group of thugs. 'X+Y' - in Cinemas 13 March
X+Y, a warm inspirational drama about an autistic maths prodigy who begins to experience the world differently under the guidance of an unconventional maths teacher, is released at cinemas across the UK on Friday 13th March. X+Y is the first feature drama from BAFTA-winning documentary director Morgan Matthews. It filmed at a wide range of locations in Sheffield in 2013, with additional scenes filmed in Cambridge and Taiwan. More

Trailer Unveiled for 'A Royal Night Out', In Cinemas 15 May
The trailer has been released for A Royal Night Out, a major new period feature film that reimagines VE Day in 1945 when Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret were allowed out from Buckingham Palace to join in the celebrations marking the end of the Second World War in Europe. The production filmed on location in Hull, East Yorkshire, with over 1500 local extras taking part, as the streets were transformed into 1945 London. Additional scenes were shot in Belvoir Castle, Chatsworth, London and Belgium. More

'Hank Zipzer' - Hit Children's Series Receives RTS Nomination
The nominees for this year's RTS Programme Awards were announced this week, revealing that Screen Yorkshire backed series Hank Zipzer has been nominated in the Children's Fiction category. The hit comedy series follows the life of 13-year-old Henry ‘Hank’ Zipzer (played by Nick James) and is based on multi award winning actor Henry Winkler’s own experiences as a young boy growing up with dyslexia. The winners will be announced at a ceremony on Tuesday 17 March at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. More

'Portal' - Dailymotion’s first original scripted drama Series released 31 March
The highly anticipated release of Portal, the first original scripted drama commissioned by video-sharing website Dailymotion, has been confirmed for 31st March 2015. It is the first digital project produced with investment from Screen Yorkshire's Yorkshire Content Fund. The five part web series, created by independent film studio Future Artists, paints a picture of a world where people are desperate to escape their normal lives and exist in a virtual reality called Portal.  In order to enter Portal, and live out their wildest fantasies, they must first enter a coma-like state by consuming an illegal and highly addictive drug, which is only available on the black market. 'Dad's Army' - release set for February 2016
Universal Pictures, Screen Yorkshire and DJ films are delighted to announce that Dad’s Army will be released in cinemas across the UK on Friday 5th February 2016. The feature film based on the much-loved iconic British comedy shot on location in Yorkshire for seven weeks and wrapped on the 3rd December. Directed by BAFTA award-winning director Oliver Parker, the film brings together a stellar, award- winning British cast and has been written for the big screen by Hamish McColl and produced by Damian Jones. More

'71 - Belfast Thriller released on Bluray & DVD 09 March
Yann Demange's critically acclaimed debut feature, action thriller ‘71, is released on Bluray & DVD on 09 March. The Belfast set film, produced by Crab Apple Films / Warp films, shot In Sheffield, Leeds, Liverpool & Blackburn. '71 stars Jack O’Connell (Skins, Starred Up) as a young disoriented British soldier whose life is put in grave danger after he is separated from his unit on the streets of Belfast at the height of the troubles in 1971.
