For those of my followers who live in or close to Yorkshire, here are the latest details of the Hebden Bridge Arts Festival:
|
We're pleased to announce that the first tickets for the 2015 Festival
are now on sale. Helen Marnie (known as Marnie for
solo projects) of Ladytron comes
to the Trades Club on Saturday
27 June and tickets are now available online (see full details below).
We'll be announcing programme news as we have it between now and May
11, when all tickets go on sale - so keep an eye out (and share with
your friends!)
We're also very excited to share that this year we will be launching
our very first Arts Festival 'micro-commissions', inviting artists to
respond to this year's landscape theme, 'the hills are alive'. The
funding pot is modest but the ambition limitless - and we're hoping to
seed work we can develop with local artists in future years.
Finally, this month also sees the launch of our very first individual
giving scheme. If you like what we do and would like to support us, you
can now donate online. Whatever
you can contribute will help keep the festival flourishing - find out
more on the website.
Until next time.....

Got a
creative idea?
The festival is committed to helping new and established artists so
are inviting applications for two ‘Micro Commission’ pots of up to
£250 to help them develop their idea.
The commissioned work will platform/premiere at this summer’s
Festival (26 June – 5 July) and artists and arts organisations
will have the chance to collaborate, show new work in new and/or
unusual spaces and develop their own audiences. Read more here

Your festival needs you!
We've
launched our very first Individual Giving Scheme with a view to
raising £2000 towards Festival activity here in our town. We’re
asking individuals like you to help us get there by making a one off
or monthly donation to help
keep the festival flourishing! Go on!
