Thanks to my fellow blogger Sally Jenkins for the following information:
Win a writing masterclass with bestselling author Joanna Rees
We're excited to be launching a nationwide writing competition in partnership with Pan Macmillan for budding writers to win a place on a ten-person, exclusive full day creative writing course with Sunday Timesbestselling women's fiction writer Joanna Rees, at the offices of publishing house Pan Macmillan in London.
To win a place, we're inviting entrants to write a 1500-word piece of original fiction (prose, not poetry or a screenplay). The theme Joanna has picked is 'SHINE'. Twenty shortlisted entries will win a copy of The Key to it All by Joanna Rees, and the winning ten entries will be invited to London for the workshop with Joanna herself. The workshop will take place in September 2014.
All ten winning entries will also be published on Pan Macmillan sitewww.thewindowseat.co.uk.
Joanna Rees is the author of the bestselling Come Together series, written under her maiden name, Josie Lloyd, with her husband Emlyn Rees, as well as A Twist of Fate, The Key to It All and Platinum.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting professional advice on how to launch a career in writing.
