Silky & Friends @ Seven
Thursday 25th November, 8pm, Cafe Scientifique returns for its first live outiung since pre-pandemic. Professor Andrew Shepherd of Leeds University, a leading expert in the observation and measurement of the earth’s ice, speaks on Ice : we are losing one trillion tonnes a year! Hat donations.
On Saturday 27th November 7.30pm, Mewl Music presents Plumhall. As session musicians, Michelle and Nick have toured all over the world (Michelle with Chumbawamba and the European arena-filling Chris Norman Band; Nick with Magna Carta and The Hall Brothers). They specialise in.articulate, penetrating lyrics, captivating melodies, and irresistible choruses. £10 / £8.
A real treat on Sunday 28th November 1.30-4pm - JazzLeeds – ‘Winifred Atwell Revisited’. Adam Fairhill and Johnny Hunter explore the repertoire and idiom of this neglected figure of 1950s British popular music, £10 / £8
