Discover! Creative Careers Week is an
online programme that aims to introduce over 60,000 secondary school
students to an exciting array of careers and workplaces across the
creative industries. Carrying on throughout the week, Creative Careers
will be running an online campaign #DiscoverProperJobs, celebrating the
lesser-known jobs within our sector and busting some myths about common
misconceptions around creative careers.

Step Up is a post-production
supervisor training programme aimed at disabled people working in
post-related activity who want to turbo charge their careers and step
up into the role of post-production supervisor.

The BIFAs welcomed an impressive array of
celebrity hosts this month, including Harry Potter star, Tom Felton. The
evening saw many deserved wins including Perfect 10, an iFeatures
supported feature film, which bagged the Raindance Discovery Award. Well
done to director Eva Riley and the rest of the production team for an
amazing result.

Small Axe, supported through our West Midlands Production Fund,
garnered many triumphs this month, including two Golden Globes
nominations, five Broadcasting Press Guild Awards nominations and two UK
Critics Circle Awards wins. Well done to writer and director Sir Steve
McQueen, and the rest of the team.

Here Before, Stacey
Gregg’s debut feature developed through the fifth edition of our
iFeatures lab, has been selected for its world premiere to take place at the Narrative Feature
Competition SXSW this year. SXSW Online will be running from 16-21
March featuring keynotes, Conference sessions, Music Festival
showcases, Film Festival screenings and world-class networking.

hosted a partnered event with Tileyard Education, which aided budding
songwriters in their aims to better position themselves in the music
industry and learn the tricks of the trade. We had a fantastic turnout

creative practitioners from across the UK over the past year; the
conversations have been vast and all-encompassing, with big questions
around the role creativity can play in driving the UK’s future. Through
these discussions it has become clear that there are three key areas that
