Cleckheaton Writers Group met last night with Karen, Cassie and Alice in attendance, Gemma and Kathy having passed on their apologies.
The minutes from the last meeting were passed.
WIP updates: Karen finished her first round of edits on her novel and is awaiting the next set from her editor. She has also attended an online poetry session with Words in Mind, Creative Voices and Quiet the Mind, typed an article for Professor Neville and edited over 40k of her first RS MS which her publisher has shown an interest in seeing. Karen has also secured a place on a picture book writers clinic in January. Alice is taking part in NaNoWriMo but has not started yet so hopes to get 25k from tomorrow until the end of the month. She has also started a new story, a clock punk MG, which she discussed with the group. She has also been editing her picture book to enter into a mentoring opportunity. Cassie has written a story for a U3A assignment which was very well received by her tutor. She explained the assignment parameters and this led to a writing discussion.
