Cleckheaton Writers Group minutes, meeting Monday 1 November 2021

Present: Cassie, Kathy, Barbara, Gemma Apologies: Karen, Alice Updates: Kathy finished her Halloween piece. Barbara typed up her story from last time (since meeting Karen has sent to Gemma and Cassie) and written one for Halloween. Cassie has written two stories for u3a and a novella (or novelette!). Gemma has been editing. Feedback: Kathy read out her poem 'Halloween', focusing on All Souls Day 1st Nov. It was well received, showing a different side to the commercialised one. Barbara read out her short story, also called 'Halloween'. Another great piece with a twist that turned it in its head. Plans: Kathy is compiling 'Tobias', and Cassie and Gemma offered to read it. Cassie is writing a story for u3a, and working on her book. Barbara has an idea to write down memories as stories for her family. Gemma is continuing to edit.
