A qualifying event for the BAFTAs and the
Oscars, the Leeds Short Film Awards celebrates the short
film form in all its glory. We’re thrilled to announce the full list of award winners

on Leeds Film Player, alongside video messages from the
winning filmmakers as bonus content.

Six new short film programmes have been

Leeds Young Film Festival 2020:
Rocca Changes the World
Over 25 families joined together to act as
this year's Leeds Young Film Festival jury online,
selecting Rocca
Changes the World as the winning film. Rocca
is a unique 11 year-old girl with a gung-ho attitude to
life. Sent to live with her Grandmother while her astronaut
father is on the International Space Station, she dedicates
herself to tackling bullying and the attitude to the homeless
people in the town. The jury also gave a special mention to
Romy's Salon, which is
still available to watch.
